Recently completed a pastel portrait of much loved Marley as a surprise birthday present. The client requested a purple background. I was able to use some beautiful suede pastel paper I bought at the September national Pastel Expo in Caloundra. I then darkened it up and made it more interesting with the use of Pan Pastels. Saw a great demo of Pan Pastels in Caloundra which has encouraged me to use them more! This piece was an A4 size presented in an A3 matted frame. The client was very pleased and so was Marley’s owner.
