The Art Society of Tasmania is soon holding its biennial Waterways exhibition at the Long Gallery in Salamanca. The exhibition is held in conjunction with the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. The exhibition is open to the public from 8 to 17 February 2019. The artworks on display will be about water in all its forms – oceans, beaches, rivers, lakes and ponds, as well as snow, rain, mist and fog!
I have entered a 1.2 m by .6 metre acrylic and resin piece called “By the Beach” and a much smaller circular canvas called “Spaced Out!” which depicts an astronaut floating in outer space above the earth. The second piece has an acrylic pour background.
