Yesterday afternoon, Sunday 25 February 2018, I attended the Annual General Meeting of the Art Society of Tasmania, of which I am a member. See http://artstas.com.au/
The group has just over 200 members and regularly holds exhibitions, including at the magnificent Lady Franklin Gallery in Lenah Valley, a 5 to 10 min drive from the Hobart CBD. Externally, it looks like a Roman temple that has been transported and preserved over the years!
The meeting was very well attended by around 50 persons and the mood was upbeat and supportive. I look forward to contributing further to the work of the Society.
